Bandwidth Turn Up

At some point next week, we will be turning up an additional internet connection through Internap. We are taking every precaution possible to make sure this process is as seamless as possible, but some portions of this process are impossible to test beforehand. We will update this post with the firm date of the turn up as soon as we have it. If you notice any abnormalities please contact us at 800-613-4305 immediately. Some customers may notice traceroutes showing different paths, or timing out for some hops, this is because the responses are taking a different redundant path and does not indicate a failure. Please verify that services are indeed unreachable if you see a traceroute anomaly.
We expect this turn up to go without a hitch and customers should notice faster response times to all equipment hosted with Blue Box Group.
Update 4/28/2008 – We expect this turn up to happen in the next 24 hours.

Sometime between 12:01am and 4:00am on 03/20/08, one of our multiple upstreams will be conducting maintenance on our circuit. Once they start the maintenance should last about 30 minutes. They will be be moving the connection from its current port to a new port. This will cause an outage on that particular circuit of about 5 minutes.
Our other providers will carry our traffic while this maintenance is occurring. Our customers should see no outage from this event.
